This is the best one I’ve read out of the ones submitted so far! It’s a shame that you weren’t able to register in time for the prizes, I think you’d have a good chance at placing.

Thank you, I really appreciate the kind words! It's all good though, just getting to submit a story and read all the entries is a hell of a lot of fun in itself.

This was such a good read!

The Rebirth theme was used so well. The ending was so emotive. The shock of taking immortality for granted, until it all goes horribly wrong hit so hard. Made for a very strong ending. Makes you remember to enjoy the time you have.

I found the world interesting, too. Seemed like there was a lot of depth here, with the Olympics, and rebirth science. The limits to it made it seem more real, too. Like how they specifically need the original DNA. Showed that even amazing futuristic technology isn't perfect and will go wrong.
The system of rebirth and choosing people to raise you was intriguing, too. Sounded like it'd make for an interesting balance of how that all would work.

Nice work!

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

It's a pity you didn't make it in time for a jam, this is a really strong piece! The dialogue part was a tad bit confusing at first, but after a thorough reading it all fit into place. Well done!

Thank you, I appreciate it! I get where you're coming from with the dialogue too, it was a tricky part for this story. Thanks again!
